INTERVIEW WITH ACTRESS DOMINIQUE PATTUELLI: SEARCHING FOR PEACE

Q: How did you get interested in this short movie?

Dominique Pattuelli: A friend forwarded me the casting proposal because she knew I wanted to confront myself with cinematic acting; and because I am half-Italian. So, I contacted Cecilia.

Q: How do you see the character of Alma, who you portray in this short movie?

Dominique: I see Alma as a young woman who is in search for peace. She would like to make everyone happy: her parents, Sam... but it seems that every move she makes has the contrary effect. For me, she is at this moment of her life, fighting to leave the little girl who makes everyone happy and become the woman who is leading a life that she has chosen. I see her as sincere but not very comfortable with words or explanations, so for that reason, sometimes she reacts in an awkward way.

Q: What do you expect from the shooting?

Dominique: From the shooting, I of course expect that we are going to make a good film, telling a story that can touch the audience. I expect to find a good way to tell the story of Alma in particular and of course of Livrées à leurs sens. I hope that the entire crew will work towards the same direction, that we will have fun together, and make a nice experience of this journey.
